New toys won’t solve my problems. I know. So, I bought a No Coast. I’m barely getting started but here are my initial impressions: I like the way it sounds, looks, feels, its form factor, thickness, weight, visual feedback. It’s a little marvel. It brings a smile when I play with it. It feels alive.
Here’s the first patch I came up with. It’s centered around the stepped random generator. Two layers of 0-Coast, kick from DFAM in the middle section, some light production: automated saturation, distortion, etc. This might be my first track with no MIDI.
